Mission

The Leadership Development Network consists of individuals who help aftermarket professionals to grow professionally through networking, educational and philanthropic endeavors.

The Leadership Development Network encourages donations to the Aftermarket Foundation. Founded in 1959 as the Jesselson Benevolent Association, the Aftermarket Foundation assists individuals and families in the automotive aftermarket who have fallen on hard times. For more information about the Aftermarket Foundation, please call 772-286-5500.

Next Step Program

Which one of your employees is ready to take the Next Step?

The AAIA Leadership Development Network (LDN) encourages junior-to-mid- level aftermarket professionals to develop lasting involvement in the industry and the association through participating in the Next Step Program.

This program, which represents the next step in automotive aftermarket leadership, allows those who are new to the industry an opportunity to see - up close - how the association and various aspects of the industry work. As people become more connected and involved in the industry, they are more likely to build long-lasting careers in the aftermarket.

A Next Step participant will attend various AAIA committee meetings, participate in a roundtable about best practices and network at the lunches, dinners and receptions. Most meals are included, and the employee's company will be asked to cover travel expenses. Click here to download an application. (.pdf/374 KB)

Testimonials:

  • “My first exposure to AAIA was in Chicago at the AAIA Fall Leadership Days this past September. As a guest, I was able to visit segment or committee meetings and saw people from all parts of the aftermarket working together for the betterment of our industry. I saw first hand that this is a great venue to work along side prominent industry leaders on issues that our association is faced with everyday and in the future. I would encourage everyone in the industry to get involved – you will not be disappointed. You can and will make a difference!” – Victor Bennett, Gantt-Thomas & Assoc. (2007)

  • "The casual atmosphere made for an enjoyable program and the size of our orientation group was perfect to foster an incredible bonding experience. The program offers a fantastic introduction to AAIA and aided tremendously in my decision to continue my involvement in the association." - Brian Owens, ROL Manufacturing

  • "The Next Step Program is like a First Class ticket to get more actively involved in the association's activities. I had the opportunity to attend one of the three annual AAIA meetings, participate as a guest in the committee or segment meeting of my choosing and network with prominent industry leaders." - Arturas Rainys, DesignTech International
