Supply Chain
AAIA and the Supply Chain Council (SCC, www.supply-chain.org) have established a working group to develop supply-chain best practices, performance measures and implementation guidelines for automotive aftermarket supply chains. This initiative will help operations managers in the automotive aftermarket leverage the Supply Chain Operations Reference model (SCOR®) to drive long-term improvements in the end-to-end supply chains of their companies.
AAIA has partnered with the Supply Chain Council to increase understanding and application of the Supply Chain Operational Reference model (SCOR®) among our members. It has been demonstrated that the efficiencies and process improvements of SCOR add 1-3% to the bottom line of a typical organization. SCOR practitioners faired far better than their peers during the recent economic downturn as illustrated by the SCOR Index – an index of 70 Supply Chain Council members - http://supply-chain.org/scor/scorindex
Benchmarking is an essential first step to understanding how your company compares to the performance of others. As a result of the AAIA / Supply Chain Council collaboration, AAIA members will enjoy free participation in the SCOR Benchmarking program - SCORmark, along with the following benefits:
-Significant discounts on the cost of publications, and education offered by the Supply Chain Council. Research and other products of the Council will require membership
- Regular updates and notifications about Supply Chain Council events and training opportunities
- The opportunity to participate in the SCORmark benchmarking exercise at no added cost and receive analysis of the aggregated results
- Periodically, AAIA and the Supply Chain Council will schedule exclusive seminars and learning events
